I have been engaged in the practice of family law matters for almost twenty years. I was recently waived in to the State of Florida to handle a complex custody matter and had the pleasure of working as co-counsel with James Cunha and his assistant Sarah. In addition to his knowledge of family law, I found that Mr. Cunha’s many years in civil law practice was a valuable asset in his formulation of trial preparation and strategy. Mr. Cunha is not only well-versed in the law, but approaches his cases with both a common-sense approach as well as an ability to “think outside the box” in situations that call for a more unique approach. He and his staff are extremely well-organized, filed all applications in a timely manner and were always available to answer both my questions as an out-of-state practitioner, as well as those of our mutual clients. With regard to his dealings with our clients, I was extremely impressed by Mr. Cunha’s ability to exercise patience during during times of high emotional stress for our clients, who were involved in a nasty custody dispute.
