Florida Child Support Calculator

Florida Child Support Guidelines Worksheet Calculator

Unlike most websites, the Florida Child Support Guidelines Worksheet Calculator was created by Mr. Cunha to calculate the Florida Child Support Obligation for parents when the parties’ combined net monthly income exceeds $10,000.

Fill in the gold/yellowish fields below that are applicable. If you and the other parent each exercise at least 20% overnights, then proceed with numbers 10 through 21 below. This is not intended to provide legal advice or serve as a substitute for seeking the assistance of an attorney.

Your “Present Net Monthly Income” is your monthly income after taxes and your personal health insurance are deducted. If your income is mainly reported on a W-2, it should be relatively straightforward to figure out your income on a monthly basis. If your health insurance includes coverage for your children, you will need to find out the difference between the cost of having health insurance for yourself without children and with children. Once you find out the difference, you apply the cost of health insurance for the children in section 5.b. below and 7.b.

For example, you are the Petitioner and your net monthly income is $6,000 while the Respondent’s net monthly income is $5,000. There is one child. You pay $400 per month for the child’s health insurance. You and the respondent have 50/50 overnight time-sharing. Based on the foregoing scenario, the Respondent would owe you $80 per month in child support. There are other factors that may impact the monthly child support because these factors affect income, such as claiming the child as a dependent.
